Gilbert

Thank You, Gilbert 🌻
After more than three wonderful years, our Gilbert shop at Epicenter closed its doors on Sunday, August 30, 2026.
It takes a village to both open and close a business. We are incredibly grateful to every team member, vendor, customer, neighbor, and community partner who poured their heart into making this location possible.
Gilbert taught us about the history we don’t always see above ground and the richness of culture, architecture, and story held within the soil of a place. Amid rapid change and development, Agritopia continues to preserve the town’s agricultural roots through its urban farm and commitment to creating a place where people can live, work, gather, and grow together.
Thank you to Agritopia and Epicenter for welcoming us into this special community. We are deeply grateful to have been part of it.
Keep Loving Where You Live
Although our Gilbert storefront is now closed, our mission continues. We hope you’ll keep noticing what makes Gilbert special, supporting its local businesses and makers, and finding ways to participate in the place you call home.

The Story of Our Gilbert Shop
Why I Love Where I Live founder Kristin was born and raised in the Phoenix area and later married a native Tucsonan. Together, Kristin and her husband, Alex, launched Why I Love Where I Live from a growing love for the city their family calls home.
In 2023, they bridged the two Arizona communities that shaped their story by opening a second Why I Love Where I Live location at Epicenter in Agritopia. For more than three years, the Gilbert shop gave us the opportunity to celebrate the area, collaborate with local makers, and invite more people into the practice of loving where they live.
